Steve Weisenburger

Lead Pastor

My call to full time ministry came while I was counseling at Mount Hermon at the age of 20. Attending Biola University and then Western Seminary confirmed in me my desire to shepherd God's people. I have been blessed with an incredible wife to journey with me and two awesome children who have provided much laughter and joy on our adventure as a family. In September of 2003, I became the pastor of Bernal Bible Church after spending 9 years as a youth pastor in Morgan Hill. It is my joy and passion to exhort and encourage you to mature in Christ Jesus. In 2019  I received my Doctorate and currently teach online at William Jessup University part-time.  Paul says, "For I am determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified."  To this end, I desire for all those who come to Bernal to grow spiritually and discover the joy of living in Christ.

Mark Lewis

Pastor of Missional Ministries

I began serving in the local church while leading a men's group...and eventually men's ministry at the church I was attending. During that season I also ventured-out on my first mission trip. It was during that time Jesus made it clear he was calling me to serve as a pastor in order to teach His word, encourage and care for his people, and stir them to connect in local and global community. I also thrive on encouraging fellow pastors - which is why I love the supporting role I have here at Bernal Church.
Missions, outreach and community are essential to the health of the church...they are also indicators of the (spiritual) health of a church.
My wife Kimberly and I founded Arukah Global - an organization that parters with other ministries in Ethiopia. One of our greatest joys in life is training and bringing teams from all walks of life with us to serve in such an amazing country.

Peter Ellis

Worship Pastor

I count it a joy and humbling privilege to be able to serve the Lord and the Bernal community through worship arts. I started leading music at the church nearly 15 years ago and have found that, both in practice and application, expressing and declaring the glory and majesty of God through music and creativity stirs my heart at it's deepest levels.
I am learning to love and grow as I journey with my wife Courtney and our three beautiful girls.
